George Reid, PhD
Principal Consultant


George A. Reid
is Principal Consultant and owner of the Performance Design Group. Dr. Reid has over 20 years experience in designing, implementing and evaluating organizational change, with a special emphasis on employee involvement and quality improvement. He conducts seminars on performance consulting and program evaluation, and is an instructor for the American Society for Quality. He holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Florida State University, a MA in Chemistry and Education from the University of South Florida, and a BS in Chemistry from Fairmont State College.

Dr. Reid began his career as a chemistry and physics teacher, marine science researcher, and science writer. As a specialist in instructional design and program evaluation, he facilitated the validation of three National Diffusion Network science and technology projects. Prior to establishing his own consulting practice in 1996, he was Director of Professional Development for Sarasota County Schools. In that capacity, he established that county's first selection, development, and performance appraisal program for management positions.

In addition to his experience in human resource management and consulting, Dr. Reid has extensive experience in training and adult learning programs. He has taught instructional design courses at the University of South Florida, human rersources and leadership courses at the Webster University and IMPAC University, was Clinical Professor of Educational Leadership at Florida State University, and presented consulting skills seminars for Designed Learning, Inc. Publications include articles on human resource development in the Journal of Staff Development and Training and Development, an interview on performance consulting in Quality Progress, and numerous program evaluation and management studies. 


 

Sanders Bell, M.Ed., Ed.S.

Harry “Sanders” Bell, Senior Consultant has over 30 years experience in grant writing, instructional design and strategic planning for funding development, with a special focus on administrative and instructional technology.  He conducts seminars on grant writing and grants management, and assists school districts in implementing major change efforts focusing on Smaller Learning Communities and Career-Technical Education. His education preparation includes an Education Specialist degree from the University of South Florida in Curriculum and Instructional Technology and a M.Ed. from Georgia College in Special Education.
 
Sanders has experience as a secondary teacher, special education administrator, and supervisor of state and federal projects.  As grants administrator for Sarasota County Schools, he was responsible for securing funding for several multi-million dollar projects to support education reform in one of Florida’s most successful school districts.  Sanders has presented at numerous state and national conferences on topics of grant funding, technology and education system change.  He is currently involved with several large scale change efforts in Florida and other states.
