The Performance Design Group has completed a Phase 1 study as an initial step in increasing healthcare training capacity in the Suncoast Region of Southwest Florida. The study involves an assessment and mapping of relationships among employers, education/training providers, and employees/job seekers. PDG is facilitating the work of several interdisciplinary groups representing employers and education/training providers in designing solutions to improve performance in identified areas of need, which will be pilot tested later in the year. The Suncoast Workforce is coordinating this effort by bringing all players together in a collaborative approach as the Bi-County Healthcare Committee.
PDG provided consulting support through interviews, surveys, and data analysis with employers, education institutions and jobseekers. In the curriculum/solution development phase, PDG consultants are facilitating the design process using models from Instructional Systems Design and HR/Performance Technology to guide the work of healthcare professionals in designing solutions compatible with the needs of regional hospitals, physician offices, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare providers.
